Late night ramblings.

brinshannaraI'm going to bed soon, but I thought I'd take a minute to update you all on my love life.
No, I still don't have one. ;)
However, I have got SUCH a crush on this one girl in my stats class it isn't even funny. Actually, there's TWO cute girls whose company I enjoy a lot, but I don't know one of them hardly at all, while I sort of, kind of know the other one.
So there's the really drop-dead sexy one, whom we'll call RM. She looks JUST like Rebecca Budig (Greenlee on All My Children):
Only she wears glasses and is less rat-faced and is taller. Everything else is very similar. She's very hot. And smart. And funny. But I don't know much about her apart from that.
And then, there's JB. JB is cute, quirky, funny and smart. The kicker is, she also seems SUPER nice. Like, actually kind, which is a trait that has been lacking in most of my interests throughout my life. My last GF was, however, one of the kindest women I've ever known in life and I refuse to put up with non-nice/kind people in a romantic sense anymore, which is one of the reasons I know I could NEVER be with my friend C. Anyways, JB is about my height, she's got wavy/curly red hair, green eyes. She wears glasses. She's attractive, but not HOT HOT HOT like RM is.
My introduction to JB was January 3rd in Stats class. We're all sitting at these stupid tables that have the chairs that are like, attached to the tables, and they swivel out. It's cramped quarters, too. So I'm just sitting there, waiting for class to begin, and this girl suddenly has her head in my lap and is apologizing for doing so, but she's dropped her pencil.
She and me and another girl (IL) all exchanged names and phone numbers, and that was about that.
Couple of weeks ago, though, JB and I hung out a bit after class and then walked out together, and when she realized I wasn't taking her bus, she hugged me and gave me la bise (it's a French thing where you kiss someone lightly on each cheek) and said bye. I should write a rulebook called "How Not to Get Their Hopes Up: Protecting Your Lesbian Friends", and include that. Oh, and it's not like she knows I'm gay, either.
Anyways, tonight, I went over to her after class and asked her if she was there the previous week, since I was, you know, dying of a sinus infection, and she's like, no, but I can photocopy RM's notes (they're friends) and give them to you next week? And I said that would be AMAZING, thanks, etc.
And then she looks at me and smiles. "Your hair looks great!" she exclaimed, and then actually reached out and bounced my hair on her palm.
Yeah, I'm lame, I wound up grinning like an idiot the entire way home.
Now, here's the thing -- I have no idea whatsoever as to how to approach her and see if I can get to know her a little better. We see each other once a week, rarely sit together (because I arrive early and she doesn't), and there are only TWO CLASSES LEFT. There's no coffee shop near that campus, or anything, really. She seems to get a lift home from RM on Tuesdays, assuming RM is actually there. I do have her number and her email address, but I know she doesn't check her email often (she doesn't have a computer), and it seems like calling her would be mildly intrusive.
IL and I were thinking that JB, RM, us and another girl (R something) should all get together and do a study group before the exam, but we should organize it quietly, lest these two annoying girls who sit near us (M and A) invite themselves along. So maybe that's a possibility.
Anyways, any ideas on reasons to talk to her or suggestions on doing something together that isn't completely obviously a way for me to get to know her are welcome. ;) It's like, I'd like to get to know her better, and I think if we were at the downtown campus, or if we saw each other more than once every week or so, I'd have a better excuse, but as it is... Niente.
Bed now, Italian studying in the morning.
