It seems a little late in the term, but I've finally made myself a poetry-ish icon. Behold its beauty. ;)

The reason I made it is because I HAD A POETRY BREAKTHROUGH at precisely 2:38am, and it totally deserves to be marked down in the history of the universe, because look! I AM SMART WHEN I AM TIRED AND STRESSED, and not only that, but I AM SMART ABOUT POETRY.

I am also very excitable.

(L Word is downloading and I'll be able to take a break to watch it due to my breakthrough. I think I rock and I rock hard. Thank you, and have a nice day.)

(This is so not my last post of the night.)

(For which I apologize.)

(ETA: Randomly, I seem to post 1, 2 or 4 times a day. Rarely 3, 5, 6 and even more rarely more than that. What the hell do I do in my life that requires me to post about it on an average of once every six hours? Huh. Stuff to think about AFTER the paper.)

There's something beautiful about the brightening of the eastern sky.

Hm.

It has always intrigued me that short poems are often the hardest ones to analyze. Every single word is chosen carefully, not a letter is wasted. Longer poems have more room in which to make their points, so their authors can afford to be a little less full of meaning in every syllable.

I'm so tired. :/

Done.

Done. I think it sucks, but hey. What do I know?

I am now going to lie down on my couch for a little bit and hope to sleep for a couple hours before being woken up by the arrival of the plumber. Alas, I somehow doubt the part about sleeping for a couple of hours will actually occur.

G'night.

Barring my four exams, I've now completed three semesters of school. Assuming I pass everything, that's 33 credits in 10 courses (one of them was a six-credit course).

I'm currently sitting in my favourite coffee shop, wondering why I haven't fallen over DEAD of fatigue yet. I am curious as to why this has not yet happened (I slept for three hours), but I'm not anxious for the crash. That would be bad.

Social Theory lasted half an hour, and I got my 8th paper back in that class. And I got... an 85%. :D I've been hovering in the B+/A- range all year and now that is an honest-to-goodness A. I am happy about that.

In about a half hour, I'm going to meet my friend Thomas (and maybemaybe JB? We don't know.) at an Irish pub around here. It's like, two blocks away. I went there after my class, and he wasn't there. Then I went to the building his class was in, and his classroom was empty. So I went back to the pub. Still no Thomas. So I came here to the coffee shop to relax, mostly because I AM TIRED, but my asthma, much to my consternation, flared up. Took my inhaler and I'm all better now, though. :)

As to the plumber and my bathroom, I have no idea what is going on over there. I napped from 11am until 2pm and then woke up and called my super to ask her what the deal is. She said the plumber was coming later in the afternoon. I reminded her I was leaving around 2:30 or so to get downtown and wouldn't be back until late, so I asked her to call me and leave me a message with the news. Nothing so far. I've been gone for FIVE HOURS. Do you know how much water could seep through the sheet currently placed where the leak is in FIVE HOURS? A lot. Like, a LOT.

So I hope they've been to my apartment and I hope they've fixed it all. I do NOT want anyone working in my bathroom at 9am or something tomorrow morning, because I WILL STILL BE ASLEEP. I plan to sleep for a billion years.

I am now bored and will leave in 20 minutes or so. I have spent way too much time just WAITING today, and I loathe waiting more than most other activities I can name.

... 85%!!! :D

OMG.

I am so tired.

And I got home, and they had BEEN to my apartment, but no note, no phone message, NOTHING. But they'd been here! The shower curtain was moved, the sheets to soak up the water were moved... I was PISSED that I had no idea what the FUCK was going on.

But, the super just called me to let me know that they couldn't figure out where the water was coming from, so they're going to come back tomorrow (<sob>) to try something... or something. They maintain it's water from the shower that hits the side of the tub and rolls over the edge. This is doubtful. For one, any leaks I've had are on THE OTHER SIDE of the shower from where the water's showing up. For another, the bath's edge isn't like, an inch, it's like, FOUR INCHES WIDE. You don't think I'd notice that?

Anyways, she and the plumber/fixit guy/whoever will be back tomorrow around 11am.

Know what this means? 'bout 12 hours of sleep.

Goodnight.
