Woke up at 3am. Couldn't sleep anymore. Am going to try to go back to sleep shortly, though!
So the cool thing -- went to a pub with Thomas (no JB, alas) and met some of his classmates. And one of them was ITALIAN! So he and I chatted in Italian a bit, and I think he understood me, and I understood him! That is, after I asked him to speak more slowly. ;) The thing about Italian is that it is just a veritable torrent of syllables randomly thrown at you if it's spoken too fast. ;)
It's pretty neat to be able to talk about Mussolini's daughter, Italian politics, soccer, family, geography and culture ALL IN ITALIAN with a real native speaker. :D
(Did I mention that my Italian teacher said he hoped I'd continue with Italian? 'cause he did. :D)
