Yet again.

Yet again, I'm staying up late to finish something I should have had finished a week ago, but am only now getting around to. Yay research design. I'm handing in a revised survey/hypothesis/research question thing tomorrow, come hell or highwater. Thankfully, I have no actual class tomorrow.

In other news, my lungs hate me and hate cats, so after spending time at JB's last night (since she has a cat), my lungs have decided to rebel, to the point where I actually had to go refill the prescription for my inhaler. I keep my inhalers for YEARS, no kidding. In fact, the prescription for my inhaler was so old that they nearly didn't refill it for me.

"This is a really old prescription," the woman said, over the phone today.
"I don't use my inhaler a lot, but I'm finally running out and I need a new one," I replied.
"Let me ask the pharmacist."
"... okay."
::: hold music :::
"All right, we'll fill it, but you need to get your doctor to call in a new one for next time."

...? If I have a prescription for a medication that deals with an ongoing illness like ASTHMA, which has been filled out tons of times over the last 20 or so years (AT THAT CHAIN, no less!), how can they consider not filling it out if I have refills left?

The mind boggles. It's not like salbutamol is exactly used as a street drug (I don't think. If I take too much of it, I see spots, feel light-headed and need to lie down, lest I be ill or pass out.), so I don't get the resistence to filling my prescription.

Hmph.

That said, I probably won't need a new one for a couple of years. <knock on wood>

Okay. Back to work for a while.

Also: I am still boggled by the fact that I AM DROWNING IN PAPER when the majority of information I need for this assignment is on my computer. Seriously. My couch is littered with paper. Sigh.
