So tired and have GOT to go to bed.
Jan. 5th, 2006 03:28 amOkay, so class is at 11:45 tomorrow morning, which means I gotta be up at 10. Which is in 6 and a half hours or so.
Just wanted to post to say that yes, I am alive.
Yes, I am very busy. BD, a friend of mine for the last decade or so, was in town on business and we went for dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. I also beat B at pool; 3 wins and 1 loss. I am the pool champion. (We will ignore the fact she'd had four glasses of wine and a beer, because she has trouble beating me when she's sober, anyways.)
School technically started today, but my schedule means no classes on Wednesday or Friday. Thursdays will be hellish, however.
11:45-1: Race and Ethnic Relations (200 level Anthro class with my Social Deviance teacher.)
2:45-4: Intermediate Italian II (with the lovely teacher I had last semester, who the friends of the family know!)
6-8:15: Research Design and Analysis (the second half of my year-long course. Whee.)
'course I'm not sure if I'm even IN the Anthro. The registration system is completely fucked because it can't handle 15000 people registering or checking their class schedule at once. 30,000 students go to my school. You know how many the system can handle at once? 600. At most. And most of the time, things just time out and connections are refused. Through some ingenuity, I managed to find a link to the timetable, so I know where and when my classes are and even who's teaching them, but I can't confirm that I'm in the Anthro, since I just added it like, 24 hours ago and haven't been able to even LOOK at my schedule since!
Anyways, it's bedtime for me. I shall leave you with this quote from BD, however.
"Some people smell like home."
(
drsnicket, sorry I wasn't home. I'll be home Thursday after 10pm or so, at the latest, and should be home most/all of Friday, but I think I'm going up north. Give me a call! Happy New Year to you, sweetie!)
