brinshannara | Sleep-deprived.

So... I'm dogsitting. This is an unexpected turn of events. My folks left for Toronto on Sunday and my brother asked me if I could come by the house on Monday to put the dog out, feed him, etc.

My brother just moved out with his girlfriend, so they're setting everything up over at their new place, and it just seems easier for me (and them) if I stay here at my folks' house. I work from home, so I've been chilling at the house since Monday afternoon.

Of course, I forgot two things:

a) dogs need to go out in the early AM.
b) garbage collection on Tuesdays and Fridays, with recycling on Wednesdays, means more chores in the early AM.

So my sleep schedule is completely, thoroughly screwed over at the moment. I went to bed at like, 1:30 and woke up, WIDE AWAKE, at 4:30. No joke. So I've been up since then (after only sleeping 5 hours yesterday) and have fed the dog, put him out and put the recycling out, too. Yay. Now, if I could sleep, I COULD sleep until about 1... but tired as I am, I am not remotely sleepy.

In other news, my maternal grandmother isn't feeling awesome these days, so if everyone wanted to think happy thoughts for her, I would love you forever.

And in yet more news, I was sad to hear Estelle Getty (Sophia from the Golden Girls) passed away on Tuesday.
