Woke up with a fever. Low-grade (99ish), but since my normal temperature is somewhere in the 97 range, it's still enough to give me weird dreams and make me feel all fuzzy.
Am not in class. Instead, I'm on my couch, but I'm considering moving back to the bedroom. I'm not sure yet. I definitely need more sleep.
So I think it's the flu. Headache, stuffy/runny nose, sore throat, coughing and the fever. I'm achy, but I don't know if that's because of whatever plague it is I have or if it's because of skiing.
The plan for today:
- nap
- call mom, see if she wants to drop off orange juice and DayQuil on her way home
- tidy up a little bit
- watch L Word with JB, who has been duly informed of my plagued status, but said that she'd still like to come over if it won't tire me out too much. And she's bringing ice cream.
In the meantime, I just saw the best commercial for Aleve. Leonard Nimoy complaining of arthritis in his hand, talk about cancelling an appearance... and his agent on the phone tells him to take Aleve. Leonard Nimoy comes out on stage in front of tons of Trek fans, holds his right hand up, fingers together. There's a pause. Then he smiles broadly and does the Vulcan hand sign. The audience cheers.
I'm off to go pass out. <bright smile>
