1) alias -- Love Alias. Adore it. Started watching midway through the first season and could not tear myself away. And have not wanted to, despite things like Lauren Reed.
2) bianca and maggie -- I have watched All My Children, off and on (but mostly on, all told), since 1983. Bianca is Bianca Montgomery, daughter of Travis Montgomery and the famous Erica Kane. Bianca is also a lesbian -- daytime's first main lesbian character. Maggie is Mary Margaret (Maggie) Stone, twin sister of Mary Frances (Frankie) Stone. Frankie and Bianca was sort of together briefly in, like, 2001, but Frankie was killed. Maggie came to town a couple of months later. Maggie was straight. Supposedly. Maggie eventually fell in love with Bianca, there were smoochies, and basically, they've moved to Paris together, with no pressure to be more than friends, but you know they're doing it. ;)
3) distinct society -- I live in the province of Quebec. We are, as many believe, a distinct society within Canada, due to our language, our judicial system and our religion. The concept of distinct society has always intrigued me, because to me, I'm Canadian first, but I'm more and more aware of how distinct Quebec truly is.
4) goalies -- I'm a hockey fan, and, in particular, a goalie fan. I admire the goalie more than any other player on the ice. I love seeing my goalie (Jose Theodore) outsmart a shooter. :D
5) irina derevko -- My favourite Alias character, hands down. :) She's so smart, so sexy, and she adores her daughters. It's awesome to see. She's also dangerous as hell, and I would hate to be on her bad side.
6) kay scarpetta -- I'm a fan of Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta mysteries. Kay is a neat character, very human and very flawed, but very intelligent and caring. She's a strong woman, but we've seen weakness in her, and I love her all the more for it.
7) lynette scavo -- Desperate Housewives is a favourite show of mine, and Lynette... My heart goes out to Lynette. Overworked, underappreciated and stuck with children and no adults all day long.
8) nightwing -- You know him better as Dick Grayson, Batman's first Robin. Well, as it happens, Dick Grayson grew up and took on another persona, that of Nightwing. Dick-as-Robin was followed up by Jason Todd and eventually Tim Drake. But Dick's always been my favourite, and I think Nightwing suits him very well.
9) sleeping -- Uh, I love sleep. I don't get enough. That is all.
10) survivor -- Not a huge fan of this show anymore, but I liked the first few seasons.
11) the other side -- A concept from Joel Rosenberg's Guardians of the Flame novels. The first one is called The Sleeping Dragon. Go pick it up sometime.
12) willow and tara -- The best television couple ever, gay or straight. I love them.
