Happy Canada Day!

It's Canada Day today. On July 1st, 1867, The Dominion of Canada was created and we became our own country.

Given that half my LJ friends are saying that they're MOVING TO CANADA because of Sandra Day O'Connor's resignation from the US Supreme Court, I thought I'd inflict some Canadiana on you.

Take this quiz about Canada. I only got 13/20, which sucks, but apparently, I know more than the average Canadian. Go me.

Also, new icon. I really need to find a better image of a Canadian flag, one that's less pixelated, but I'm lazy and my Internet connection keeps dropping because of the HUGE THUNDERSTORM OUTSIDE. Crazy.

We had a serious conversation at work today about how hard would it be to move our operation to Canada. Things are NOT good here, and unless something changes....I don't even want to think about it.

And yes, I figured you use it solely for my benefit, but considering all the things going on these days in Canada that are GOOD and all the things going on these days in the US that are BAD, I gotta ask myself how long you'll be able to keep up with that sentiment. ;)

Can't say I blame you, at least for the US part of it. :) It's hard to ever want to be anywhere apart from "home".
