Not a phone company thing, it's an LJ thing. You have to be a paid member and you have to set up your phone post settings. Then you call one of the billions of numbers they have (alas, no Canadian ones, so I wound up calling Vermont -- and the only Texas one is in San Antonio) and basically speak. You can choose to make it public, friends only, what have you. Long distance charges may apply, I know they do for me, but if you're only on the phone for like, three minutes, it's not bad.
Oooooh, very cool! And I'm gonna have to do that. I'll probably call a number outside of Texas because our long distance system is set up so that a call outside the state is cheaper than one made inside your state. It's retarded.
