Lost.

I was at my parents' last night for dinner, and only got home around 8:40ish. I looked at my TV and thought "Should I turn it on and see the last 20 minutes of Lost? Would I ruin the entire episode for myself if I did that?" I shrugged, said no, turned it on...

... and saw Jack pounding on Charlie's chest.

And all of a sudden, I'm like "NO! They can't kill Charlie! Nononono!" and then I'm all "I should turn this shit off NOW. I can't watch Charlie die without knowing how or why or anything!"

So I turned off the TV right when Kate pulls Jack away from Charlie.

And I spent the next three hours d/ling the ep and going "Oh my God, Charlie's dead."

By the time I finished downloading, I was so exhausted that I FELL ASLEEP while watching it, around 1:15. I saw up until when Walt threw the 3 and the 4 in the backgammon game, and didn't remember anything after it. I woke up on the couch at 4:30 in the morning and dragged my sorry ass to bed.

I woke up at 10:30 this morning and thought "Ooh, I get to watch the rest of Lost! ... but Charlie's DEAD!"

Anyone who watched that show must have been at least a little surprised when Charlie actually WOKE UP, but I assure you, I was about a hundred times more shocked. I shouted at my laptop screen "WHAT?! OH MY GOD!!!!" loud enough that I think my neighbours heard me.

The moral of this story: Never turn Lost on midway through the episode, because you never know how JJ Abrams is going to TORTURE YOU.

Also, random bits/comments:

- Loved how Walt keeps getting what he wishes for. A 3/4 roll and then double sixes. But it seems that he's been lucky like that all his life. Hm, hm. Nice little look into Walt's life.
- Boone amused me.
- Locke... is creeping me out. Following his gut? And what the hell did he and Boone FIND?!
- I kind of love Ethan for beating Jack down. Am I evil for that?
- Are Sun and Jin even still alive? ;)
- I love that Jack wasn't prepared to "do the right thing" and report his father until he found out the woman had been pregnant. Very nice touch.
- Sayid/Sawyer... if they don't wind up killing each other, I'm sure they'll end up fucking.
- Claire! I worry for Claire.
- Charlie being alive. Wow. Wow. Wow. I am not a Dominic Monaghan fangirl, I'm really not, but... Charlie! I'm so glad he's alive.

OhmiGOD, I was so cursing at the screen after they cut Charlie down: "He'd better not be dead!! He'd better not BE FUCKING DEAD!!!"

I had a moment there where I was convinced that Locke was taking Boone into Ethan/Alex's lair. Claire's dream where Locke had one black eye and one white eye...

And yes, you are evil for wanting Ethan to beat Jack down. :D

I'm glad I wasn't the only one freaking the hell out over Charlie.

I can't help but think it's all over for Boone. The redshirt comment TOTALLY sealed his fate.

... but Jack so deserved for someone to beat him. After letting Sayid torture Sawyer?? He totally needed that. :D
