I so totally rock.
I fixed an Apache thing!
mzac gave me an old server a few weeks ago and hooked it up at his office for me (for he do rock, yep, he do), and installed a mess of stuff on it.
Tonight, though, I realized that the IP (without usernames, etc) redirected to the domain name on the machine that is actually my personal website. Which is www.myrealname.org.
This wouldn't be quite so bad if I hadn't recently given out an account for a fellow BAMmer to host video clips on. Particularly as like, two people in the BAM community know my actual name. So http://machinename.otherdomain.com/~username was turning into http://www.myrealname.org/~username.
That's not good. Especially not good because I don't want to be known as "that designer who allows someone to upload and distribute video clips that follow the story of two lesbians on a soap opera".
But I fixed it!
Me!
An APACHE thing!
For those of you who don't know, I may be a geek, but I know NOTHING about server-side stuff or networking. Like, zilch. And I fixed it! I found the right configuration file, edited it, saved it and restarted Apache!
And now, I believe I shall make a cup of tea and write. Because I'm way proud of myself.
(Also, this station has been playing a lot of Johnny Cash lately. WTF?)

Built-in to OSX? Really? That's pretty snazzy. If only it could be found! ;)
