Trying to think positively.

The bad: My cable won't be restored until tomorrow.
The good: It won't be restored next WEEK.

The bad: Mastercard consists of scum-sucking mollusks.
The good: I've already paid two thirds of what they're demanding from me.

The bad: A friend of mine is ultra-stressed and freaking out.
The good: We went out for a late lunch and she relaxed. And later, calmed me down after the cable/MC issues.

Also good: I helped an old lady bring a large package home today.
Also good: I have a Mole tape to watch.
Also good: I have food cooking on the stove, which I will soon get to eat.
Also good: I've done a bit of growing over the last 48 hours.

So. Overall? Things are not quite as bad as they seem.
