Random thoughts before bed.
Jul. 4th, 2005 02:52 amI just cleaned out a ton of voice mails, and resaved a few.
Among the deleted:
- creditors wanting money (as I have paid them since getting asked for money).
- a couple old messages I don't even listen to anymore when I save them.
Among the saved:
- my friend M's message from July 5th, 2004, when she gave birth to her baby boy.
-
drsnicket calling to say she is now a permanent resident of the "Estados Unidos".
- my brother's birthday message from 2004 saying "Happy biiiiirthday. I don't know what to get you. Not at all. No idea. So, uh... you're getting nothing. Okay, call me back, bye."
- my lush yelling at me for letting him "stay up and drink... uh... continuously."
- some of the cuter messages from JB.

Work was hell today. Seriously. It sucked. Except that I got listened to and my objectivity scores are staying at a decent level (YAY FOR NOT INFLUENCING THE RESPONDENTS! :D), which means I am that much closer to getting out of training and getting a raise of 25 cents/hour. Whee.
Oh, and we got let off 15 minutes early tonight. :D I don't know why.
OH, and my shift might be cancelled for Monday. I am crossing my fingers that it is. While the <does math> $36 would be nice, I REALLY don't want to do that survey again for another four hours and fifteen minutes tomorrow night. It SUCKED. And any of you who don't live in Quebec are spared my rambling French about credit cards, reward cards, debit/Interac cards and Canadian Tire financial services. (I had no idea Canadian Tire had financial services apart from the Canadian Tire money. WTF.)
---
Americans, have a great fourth of July. I loved being down in DC for it. Nothing in the world is like being at the Lincoln Memorial on July 4th when they set off the fireworks. Happy Independence Day. :)
I find it odd that England/Great Britain doesn't HAVE an independence day like the US or like Canada. Why don't they celebrate the Roman legions being pulled back home in the 5th century? Or the arrival of the Angles and the Saxons and the Jutes? (I love Wikipedia.) Just a thought.

I still miss JB and, therefore, am lame.
