Day 04 - Your favourite show ever

I think that's probably right. I can't think of another show where I would willingly watch just about any episode at any time. I love the future that TNG paints, I love the characters, I think the stories are, by and large, awesome. I can't think of a single other show (and I have watched MANY) where I was just so absolutely anxious to watch it when it aired each and every week.

I first watched Encounter at Farpoint when it aired in 1987 and I was 10. My friend, E, and I watched it, mostly for Wil Wheaton, whom we found to be "soooooooooo cute". I was definitely a little upset that Wesley Crusher was a bit of a disappointment, but hey, his mom turned out to be pretty cool. ;D

If not for TNG, I never would have met people like

mtgat,

shiningmoon,

jessruth,

trexphile or

moireach. Hell, I wouldn't have met

bethofalltrades because it was my TNG-love and a certain awesome mailing list that led me to create a similar one, which is where I got to know

bethofalltrades.

I'm sure there are others I'm missing, but those are some of my oldest Internet-era friends. I've known the first three since late 1994 (!!!),

bethofalltrades since late 1996, I think and

trexphile and

moireach since mid-1997.

So TNG had a rather huge effect on me and my life and it ended up being a great show that I still love to watch to this day.

Except perhaps chunks of Season 2...
