Just got an email from my dad that he clearly meant to send last night. On November 1st, the city of Montreal had mayoral elections, but since I'm technically not in Montreal, but in a separate city on the island, I didn't vote. I should have had elections in my city, but the mayor AND my councilman were both uncontested, so I didn't have to go out and vote. I'm not sure if my dad had to vote at all, given his city, but he didn't vote for the Montreal mayor, anyways.

Anyways, the mail from my dad cracked me up:

"Hope all is well. Did you vote today? Not sure if you are in Hampstead or Montreal, where they had to chose between a mayor who may have closed his eyes to Mafia contracts, a separatist, and a freako who thinks 9-11 was an inside job engineered by Bush.

My vote would have gone to the Mafia guy!"

"the Mafia guy" won, btw. Who had previously been in power for two terms.

Hilarious!
