See, I couldn't ever go out there and be like "Crystal leaned forward and pressed her lips to Jessica's" because... that's definitely crossing a line. This whole "you" and "her" thing that leaves things ambiguous makes it easier, but I'm still a little uncomfortable.
I'm LESS uncomfortable having read the RPF article at Wikipedia where Ian McKellan is all like "it's all good" about RPF/RPS about him. I think my personal boundaries include the families. Vague references only, no names, no involvement by them at all. I think that if, God forbid, any of them read this stuff, they COULD be like "well, fair's fair, I'm a celebrity" so long as you respect the privacy of their family members.
Then again, they could be like "LIBEL! SLANDER!" ><
My point in all this is not to discourage people from enjoying certain pairings, but rather to express my own discomfort in writing this particular pairing, btw. Don't feel bad -- but do bear in mind at all times that the likelihood of the real CC/JL behaving at all like this is basically nil. ;) I think if the readers read RPF/RPS while approaching the characters as fictional ones (with the same background and physical appearance as the actors), it becomes easier to overcome any squickiness.
And there miiiiiiiiiiiight be another ficlet soonish. Maybe. It depends on how much caffeine I have tonight. ;)

Here's the wiki article I mentioned:
