[livejournal.com profile] moireach asked me the following five questions. If you'd like me to come up with five questions for you, post a comment. :)

1. If you had to live somewhere besides Montreal, where would it be?

The answer that first comes to mind is Northern Virginia. Just because, you know, been there, done that. I'd know what to expect. But then I'm all... "Uh. Yeah, the US? I think not." And I could never live in Toronto, because the Leafs fans would kill me. Ottawa's too small for me... So... Well, I felt really at home in Scotland, in Edinburgh. Granted, I stood around like a deaf mute because I could hardly understand the accents, but that would change, right? Right? Alternatively, Florence, I think.

2. Who are your three favorite Office characters and why?

Okay, I thought the first question was hard... I guess my favourites are Jim, Pam and Karen. I admit it, I adore Karen. She's funny, she's smart and she's adorable. She won't just sit there, either, she'll ask the questions you don't expect her to ask. "Do you still have feelings for her?" etc. I respect that about her. Jim... is being so silly. I kind of want to smack him upside the head. But then he'll do something like the Altoids with Dwight and OH MY GOD I LOVE HIM ALL DAY LONG. And he's so expressive with his face, it cracks me up. And Pam. Pam... what to say about her? She's so unsure about things and she's so human, she makes mistakes... I just want to hug her all better.

Having said all that, I love the whole cast. As an ensemble, they work beautifully. But I can't say Michael's my favourite, because sometimes I just twitch so much that I just can't even WATCH, and Dwight... I have little fondness for Dwight himself, but his role versus other people -- against Michael, against Jim, against Angela... it's awesome.

3. What's the best movie you've seen in the past year?

I barely saw any movies this year, but I'd have to say Superman Returns was amazing. And I think it would be amazing to anyone, even if they weren't steeped in the story as much as I've been.

4. Why are you still watching Lost when they never answer any of the mysteries?

They kind of do! Sort of. ... okay, not so much, but I'm invested in the characters now. I don't care about the big reveals anymore, not so much. I care about what's happening in the now, and any big reveals are a bonus.

5. Please elaborate on your 'american poetry' userinterest.

I've always had a fondness for American poetry, from Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening to Prufrock. My American Poetry class really helped me to appreciate more American poets and poems (like Plath) and I have a deep affection for some of the poems I was introduced to in the class. :)
