Oh, the pain.

Note to self:
Do not go unexpectedly to MG's house to see her and her boy, X, without first thinking about the cat and dog they have. Allergies + bad sinuses = SEVERE HEADACHE.
I'm feeling better than I did an hour ago, but my head is still owwie.
My day, in brief, before JJ Night:
- woke up after a crappy night's sleep
- went to see the Mature Student Advisor, Nelly
- was told not to worry about getting a frickin' C in Italian (I am still livid and do not wish to discuss this) or the B- in Poetry (really unhappy about that) because my GPA will remain above 3.0, regardless of my stats mark, so my goal of getting into the Honours program is not in danger
- after checking my email, my voice mail and talking to my brother, I headed out of the building and nearly ran into JB, literally
- spent 10 minutes with JB at the library and walking her to class, which was nice
- went to the gym, biked for a half hour and went 17.5km. Go me!
- stopped by MG's and hung out for a while.
It was an okay day, all told. The gym and the JB stuff especially.
And now... JJ NIGHT! Running commentary coming up at 9 and 10.

Date: 2005-05-05 12:37 am (UTC)Admittedly, I blew my midterm. Badly. But I thought my compositions, oral presentation and final could compensate. I got about a 70 on the final, though. :/ Meh. It's crazy. My mom was flabbergasted. "But you speak Italian to us [my parents] ALL THE TIME and you're so good!"
So, hell if I know what that teacher is on, but I do know that I'm planning on checking out the grade distribution, and that I will only continue in Italian if I have my really wonderful teacher I had the first semester.
Nelly told me it was okay, though, because the Honours people want me to do well in Sociology, and even though they like that I'm taking Italian, they don't really care TOO much.
Barring Stats I (B+) and possibly Stats II (unknown), I haven't gotten less than an A- in a sociology class. Which makes me feel better about myself.
Okay, shutting up. :) But thank you for being stunned. It actually makes me feel better to know others are surprised, too.
