I PASSED. In the SNOW. I was the only one the woman had passed ALL DAY LONG. I rule. I can even parallel park!
And now, I have to go to school. By bus. Whee.
Edit: I bribed my brother to drive me. Hee.

Date: 2005-03-01 08:36 pm (UTC)And pfft, I'm just glad you live in the States so I don't get killed when I step off a curb. ;)
Yay me. :D When do you come back to town? I'll DRIVE us somewhere! :D (Oh, the terror of driving in downtown Montreal and parallel parking...)

Date: 2005-03-01 08:45 pm (UTC)I can SORT of parallel park. I did okay, though! It's like God himself helped to guide me in after a slight issue with nearly hitting the car in front of me. ;) But I slid in nicely!
Come visit. Now. We'll go skiing on Friday and then have hot tea and play Trivial Pursuit and watch Lost episodes.
congrats!

Date: 2005-03-02 04:47 am (UTC)If you can drive in the snow with the pressure of someone judging you, you can drive in any circumstance. :)

Date: 2005-03-02 08:25 am (UTC)No, no, if I can drive in a SNOWSTORM that caused them to cancel all the appointments less than an hour after I finished, while someone judged me through it, THEN I can drive in any circumstance. ;) That was seriously a stressful experience and one I shall never again have to endure, with any luck. :)

Date: 2005-03-02 08:27 am (UTC)And that's some excellent advice. I learned this at age 14 when my then-best friend and I borrowed my mom's little Chevrolet Sprint at the cottage (dirt roads, no traffic, etc) and she nearly drove us into a ditch. Were it not for my quick thinking to throw on the parking brake, they'd have had to tow us out of a ditch/creek.
... and nearly 14 years later, I am now a licensed driver. Hah. That's just amusing. :)
