This, that, everything.

No, your eyes do not deceive you. It's just barely 9am on a Saturday and I. Am. Awake.
Which? Is totally cool.
Headed out to the airport (by taxi) at quarter to eight to meet Nick. My cab driver was insistent, upon hearing that a male friend of mine was coming to visit me, that he was looking to settle down. With me. I couldn't stop laughing.
Arrived at Dorval's International Arrivals, checked the screen, and lo and behold, his flight had landed. Less than ten minutes later, he walked out of the doors and a Dyke and her Lush were reunited.
Came back to my place, via another taxi, sat and talked for a while. We made some vague plans for the day and talked some more, and after a quick phone call to P, I'm like, all right, let's go downtown, show you a bit of the city, get lunch, see a movie, etc.
Why my American friends tend to choose December to visit me for the first time is beyond me. He didn't bring boots! It snowed. A lot (although not much is sticking). We took the bus downtown, took the metro to le Centre Eaton, and we had lunch at the food court. He was amused to receive a chunk of coins as his change.
Then we walked to Peel, bought him a tourist card for the metro/bus system that's valid for today, Sunday and Monday, since I had some tickets he could use for Friday. We then walked up to Sherbrooke to wait for the 24 to take us to the Forum. And froze. A lot.
Finally got to the Forum and we saw National Treasure, which I enjoyed despite similarities to The DaVinci Code and despite Nicolas Cage. Then we headed to Alexis Nihon, sat and had coffee/hot chocolate, talking.
Made our way back to my place, since we'd both been up for about 12 hours at this point (he woke up at 4, I woke up at 4:30) and hung out. He introduced me to redvsblue, which is fucking HYSTERICAL. My sides ached after watching just a couple of the eps.
While he relaxed on my couch for a bit, listening to music, I unloaded the dishwasher and reloaded it and set it going. We chatted with
moireach for a little while and then headed out to St. Hubert's for THE BEST CHICKEN IN THE WORLD.
Then we took the Metro back to my metro stop and stopped in at Metro (the grocery store) to pick up a few things for today. Came home, put that stuff away, copied redvsblue to my computer, watched a few eps, and then, before midnight, I said I was wiped and I was heading to bed.
I was dead to the world asleep before midnight and woke up around 8:30.
This morning schedule thing? Very odd. ;)
So now, I'm probably going to watch my All My Children tape from yesterday so as not to subject him to that later. Eventually, P will call us and we'll make plans about when to meet up and where, and I'll talk to my brother and inform him of the plans.
See, me, Nick, my brother, my brother's GF, P and possibly P's husband, W, are all going to the Casino! :) I do rather enjoy going there. P and W will have to leave around 6ish or so, but the rest of us are going to have dinner at the casino (must make reservations when we arrive...) and it should be a fun afternon and evening.
Except, of course, for the ghosts of the past. That... is possibly going to be interesting, in the Chinese curse sense of the word.
Anyways, I was up for 19-20 hours yesterday, and I had a good night's sleep, and I'm ready for whatever happens today. :)
