Cool! But actually, it's hot as hell.

Greetings from the University of Durham. I'm sitting here with
moireach and
cheapmetaphor, and I think it's a bajillion degrees here right now.
My father and I somehow managed to navigate back from Aberdeen all the way to Newcastle without getting lost too badly. (Roundabouts are evil.)
This morning, I woke up earlyish and tried to figure out who had won the Stanley Cup. I was up for over 8 hours before I discovered that Tampa Bay had won. I am sad.
Anyways, I woke up, flipped channels, watched cricket highlights (the game remains incomprehensible and lame to me) and then, when they didn't talk about hockey, I got dressed and went to one of the restaurants in the hotel for breakfast.
Went upstairs to the front door of the hotel. Realized it's STILL POURING OUTSIDE. Went to front desk, asked to borrow an umbrella. Et voila, a small umbrella is now in my possession. Mwahahaha.
Up to the room, grabbed my coat and bag, and headed out to walk to the Shiremoor Metro station. In the aforementioned pouring rain. I was pretty drenched after the walk. Bought myself a ticket, and the metro train soon arrived. Took that in to Newcastle and then I met up with
moireach and
cheapmetaphor. We all saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and went for lunch before taking the train to Durham and now we're sweltering in the computer lab. It's not raining, you see, and it's very hot and muggy.
Anyways, I also managed to procure STAMPS! WOOHOO. So now I get to mail postcards.
I don't have Internet access from the hotel (because my hotel sucks) so this may be my last post from England.
Back in Montreal on Thursday!
