You have GOT to be kidding me.
Sep. 20th, 2007 10:41 amDad got home from Australia late on Sunday night and saw his mom in the hospital on Monday morning. Talked to her doctor, the head nurse, the social worker, explaining that the key problem is not her lungs but rather that she still is having trouble walking, etc, etc.
Apparently they X-rayed her and gave her another CT scan yesterday (the original X-ray was 12 days ago when she was admitted) and have only JUST NOW realized she has a broken hip.
HOW DO THEY HAVE SOMEONE IN THE HOSPITAL UNDER THEIR CARE FOR 11 DAYS BEFORE FIGURING OUT THEY HAVE A BROKEN HIP?
And she's been made to walk around a bit and sit up for hours, even when she complained of discomfort. Well, no fucking kidding it wasn't comfortable, HER HIP IS BROKEN.
ARGH.
Apologies, but I'm kind of irate and I had to vent before I left for school.
Off to Italian, then lunch, then Sociology of the Media, then dinner and a movie with JB.
Happy thoughts, prayers, vibes, etc, for my Nana are appreciated.
