[Now: Thank GOD for unsecured wireless networks. Also, no one in Montreal is selling Alias Season 2. This makes me just as unhappy as the below events. Needless to say, I am offline for the time being, barring intermittent access from nearby unsuspecting neighbours.]

Written at 3:21pm:

So there I was, playing a game online and talking to my brother on the phone.

The phone cut out for a minute, and I thought he'd hung up on me. I kept saying hello, nothing, then I hung up and hit talk again, and there was some staticky noise and then my brother was back. Only he said he'd called me back. Whatever, everything seemed to be fine.

Not ten minutes later, I'm disconnected from the Internet and my phone goes dead again.

This time, though, it doesn't come back. Calling my line from my cell gives me one ring and then "call was lost!".

I wound up calling Bell's technical support, and they might have to send out a technician tomorrow.

It dawned on me that it could be due to the freezing rain. There's been a lot of it, apparently, over the last few hours. But can I confirm that? No. Because I have no Internet access.

I mean, looking out the window, it certainly seems like it, but I've survived freezing rain before. What gives??

So, without Internet access, or a working telephone, I've decided to go downtown, find Season 2 of Alias and bring that home. I will have... what, 88 episodes of Alias to watch? Who needs the Internet with 88 episodes of your favourite show? :)

And I'll be burning CDs too, at the same time.

And doing laundry. Oh, yes. I will be doing laundry.

I miss the Internet already and it's not even been an hour. :P
