Another quick post.

I didn't finish my variable thing today, but I plan to finish it before 4pm today, so go on, explain to me why you (or why you think anyone) would lie online.

Already mentioned as variables:

age, gender, mood, ability to trust people, purpose of the communication, desire for fantasy, desire for community acceptance, desire for anonymity, relationships with the people being communicated with, how long they've been using the internet.

The ironic thing is that, due to the fact that I am the best friend EVER, I am currently engaged in some online deception, which is actually kind of funny. Neat timing, too.

Anyways, I'm off to bed.

The one near my school/work with the free Internet access, as opposed to the one near my school/work whose access SUCKS ASS.

I thought I'd bring my laptop downtown with me today (I left early, thanks to a desperate need to buy a magenta ink cartridge and the fact that my brother actually said he'd give me a ride [!]) and sit at the cafe and try to get some Lit Review work done.

I've been here for 20 minutes, I was at the other one for 20 minutes, and I have done nothing.

Also, I AM DYING OF HEAT, despite the fact it's only 19 out.

Also, there's a severe thunderstorm watch in effect from 3pm-8pm. Whee. Maybe the power will go out at work. Oh, if only! :)

I should leave for work in about 10 minutes. So I'm totally wasting time.

I've just gone through the scariness that is friendsfriends in a failed search for a fun survey/meme thing. (Remind me not to do that anytime near the release of HPatHBP, 'kay? I think some of y'all's friends might be a WEE BIT TERRIFYING in mid-July.)

I am still dying of heat. But I should go to work soon. So. I'm going.
