Why written conversations are better than spoken ones.

Less confusion. You will never have a written conversation with a halfway literate person that results in large amounts of confusion over the phrase "I don't wrap". There is no way that this can be misconstrued as "I don't rap", especially when the phrase appears out of the blue during a conversation that has nothing at all to do with wrapping. Or rapping, for that matter.

Regarding being a digital packrat...

To all of you who have ever mocked me for keeping shit from 1994/95 etc, you can stop the mocking.

My digital packrattedness has come in handy.

For naturalization purposes, llnaughty needed to know when he and his wife were in Montreal during a short period of 2001.

Two minutes after asking me, I had his answer in the form of an email from him to me. The useful excerpt in question:

"erbie and i are gonna arrive at dorval around noontime, wednesday, february 21. we're leaving sunday evening."

Things are looking up!

Thought for sure I'd be screwed out of a domain of mine that expires next Tuesday, but a friend who handles domain stuff looks to be taking care of it for me. He's going to accept a transfer that someone like GoDaddy would not, because it expires so quickly.

I know from past experience not to get my hopes up, and I'm ready to "backorder" the domain at GoDaddy, just in case, but it would be swell if it actually worked.

I am hungry. I should cook and then eat and then continue to clean.

But I'm feeling pretty darn good. :)
