I missed the "Are you him?" -- who said it to whom?
The magnet thing was weird. If there's a powerful electromagnet and it's not properly shielded, could that be why the plane went down? (Just thinking out loud here.)
But, but, the quarantine notices were on the inside of the hatch. You don't put quarantine signs on the inside of the quarantined area. So the inside is the 'clean' area.
