There was to be a family reunion weekend the last weekend of August.
But my parents are going to Prague and only arrive back home that weekend, so they'll be tired, jetlagged, etc.
So my dad calls his aunt and leaves a message that says "Yeah, that's not a good weekend. The weekend before or the weekend after, maybe."
My mom tells me about this just now.
"So, wait," I ask, "when are you going to Prague?"
"The 19th," she replies.
"Well, hang on. That's the weekend before. So you're not actually there on one of the weekends Dad suggested?"
"Qu'il est épais! ...okay, we have to go call her back, now. I'll talk to you later." (What a dummy! basically.)
