And now, the Friday Five.
1. Are you superstitious?
Not particularly, although I can be, now and again.
2. What extremes have you heard of someone going to in the name of superstition?
I'm not sure I've heard of a lot of extremes...
3. Believer or not, what's your favourite superstition?
Breaking a mirror = 7 years of bad luck takes the cake, if only because that was all I could think of when
drsnicket's wedding dress caught on the corner of a mirror, tugged it just so and it broke thoroughly. Five minutes before she was to walk down the aisle. And no, I don't believe it that now, although I used to, as a kid.
4. Do you believe in luck? If yes, do you have a lucky number/article of clothing/ritual?
It depends. I used to, and sometimes I still think that way, but I came to the conclusion a few years ago that nothing is coincidental. Luck implies something unexpected happening, which is at odds with my belief that God has a plan and such. So instead of being lucky, really, I'm blessed. IMHO, anyways. That said, 5, 7 and 16 are my "lucky" numbers.
5. Do you believe in astrology? Why or why not?
On the whole? No.
But this guy? He SO has video cameras on me and at least one friend (
shiningmoon), because while the horoscopes are off, when they're accurate, they're frighteningly accurate.
