Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Your kids do appreciate you, in their own way. ;)
In related news, my mom won her Supreme Court case from February. The judgement was rendered on Thursday. She kicked such ass. :D
And the judgement is hilarious:
The constitutional question is answered as follows:
1. Are ss. 608, 609 and 612.1 of the Taxation Act, R.S.Q., c. I-3, invalid or constitutionally inapplicable to the appellant on the ground that they contravene subsection 92(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867 by exceeding the territorial limit on provincial legislative competence?
No.
Dismissed, with costs
Also, how much do I love that people still talk about and refer to our Constitution Act of 1867 that made us a country? Seriously, that's awesome.
---
In other news, I feel like crap today. I haven't been sleeping well, and last night didn't sleep until like, 10am this morning. :P Then I woke up at 2:30 so I could run out and get flowers for my mom and my grandmothers.
Would very much like to nap, but I don't think I have time before dinner. :/
