So MG is moving to England.
On Sunday.
I got to spend some time with her today and far too little time with her son. I told him I remembered him when he was a little baby and he adamantly insisted "I'm a BIG BOY now!" and I just wanted to snuggle him to bits and pieces. :)
M and I dropped the boy off at daycare, went to lunch together, shopped a little bit, went for coffee and then parted. I went to meet JB for coffee and spent a couple hours chatting with her about various and sundry and realized I'd missed my bus by 6 minutes. Rather than take the overcrowded rush hour bus, I elected to take the metro.
As I get out at my transfer station, I hear my full name be called. I turn. There's M and X and I got to say goodbye to them once more. :)
That's the thing about my solid friendships... they don't need a lot of maintenance. I can talk to them once every couple of months or even less, and we pick up where we left off. While I love that about
drsnicket, PF and MG (and many of my online friends, too!), I do wish I got to see and talk to them all a little more often.
