Is it odd?
Jan. 28th, 2005 03:30 amIs it odd to approach a specific day of the year you've loathed for quite some time and be ready to be angry and hate that day and all that comes with it, only to realize that, once it's within reach, you don't have the passion for it you once did?
I must be growing up.

On the heels of my fantastic BAM (Bianca/Maggie) All My Children news, I found out that not only is Eden Riegel (Bianca) leaving AMC, but so is Liz Hendrickson (Maggie). February will be great for BAM, but February 24th is their last airdate. Off they'll go together, into the sunset, we suspect. They wouldn't dare to kill off Bianca Montgomery. Erica Kane wouldn't stand for it. And they've already killed Liz's character once; they won't do that to us again.
I only got back into AMC because of these two characters and their shared storylines. Yeah, make fun of soap operas all you want. I'll admit they're cheesy, predictable and generally lame. But I saw actual magic with these two women and the characters they bring to life every day. It was a hell of a run, and I wish I'd seen it from the start. Watch AMC this month. Watch Eden and Liz shine in each and every one of their scenes. Watch them snog on Monday. (Seriously! It's daytime's fifth-ever lesbian kiss.) Watch Maggie dump Jonathan's abusive ass on February 13th (I think it is). Watch Bianca and Maggie leave Pine Valley with baby Miranda on February 24th. Let yourself be carried away by two great actresses who outshine the majority of their castmates. This is, of course, why they're leaving.
Anyways. I've been bumming about that since Wednesday. Which seems like forever ago, even though it's only been about 37 hours since I found out about Eden.

Had another headache today. Bad, bad, bad one. I went to school anyways and had to leave halfway through class. At least I got the handouts she gave out regarding our papers, due February 10th. Came home, relaxed a bit, took Tylenol and I was feeling better.
I'm still awake, but I shouldn't be. I have a driving lesson at 10am (6.5 hours from now) and I need to shower. At least it's not supposed to snow tomorrow.
---
I came to two conclusions tonight, about two separate things, while in conversation with a friend of mine. I won't say what they're about, but I'll give you a basic idea:
- I'm absolutely crazy to still think that's a possibility, but despite everything, I still do.
- Sometimes, I wonder if that was the greatest mistake I'll ever make in my life, and other times, I know it was.
Showertime.
I must be growing up.
