I feel like a yoyo.
No one wound up staying with me, which pisses me off, because I KILLED MYSELF to get things just so. Except for the kitchen, but whatever.
And I'm not going up north, because I have to spend time with the cousins. (That and my friend went to after hours last night, or was planning on it, and is probably still asleep.)
I got 12 hours of sleep last night. First time in DAYS, maybe even over a week, that I slept for more than 7 hours at one time.
Dinner at the parents' last night was okay. Good food, cool evening out on the porch. Turns out that my cousin E is studying PR at college. I raised my eyebrow and said "The new Samantha Jones?" and she LAUGHED and was like "Totally!".
She and her sister J love Sex and the City, apparently, and I made them laugh by saying I usually watch SATC and call my friend C during commercials to complain about what Carrie was wearing, laugh at Samantha's outrageousness, complain about Charlotte being so... Charlotte, and wonder if Miranda will ever stop talking about her kid. Then I looked at them critically... "How do you feel about Buffy the Vampire Slayer?"
"Ohmygod, MOM, she just asked us how we feel about Buffy the Vampire Slayer!"
My cousins are fannish. Their FATHER (my dad's first cousin) has seen every Buffy episode. My head may explode. Dad's cousin B is a 55 year old guy who so does not seem the Buffy type. But then, neither does C's dad, and he loves the show, too.
They like Charmed, too. Also Gilmore Girls and they liked Dawson's Creek (okay, not everyone is perfect).
This amused me greatly. :)
They all went down to the Old Port today, and are having lunch down there. I'm waking up (slowly) and am going to have some form of food, then hop on the bus and meet up with them downtown.
I woke up with a headache, but it's pretty much gone now, and was the first headache in days. That new nose stuff is really kicking in, I gotta say. It was like, 85% humidity yesterday or something, and I was fine!
Okay, I'm rambling all over the place now. I should find something to eat. (Or, rather, decide on what to have, considering I have a metric tonne of food here.)
