10:42pm: Got my paper back (74%. Midterm was 78%, you'll recall. Overall mark in class now is a 75.8, or a 76% which is a B. Eh.) and though I had some trouble explaining why homosexuality as a master status was a real social problem, I got two checkmarks in my paragraph about my own sexuality, meaning that it was a valid argument, which made me feel a lot better about the grade (because he did ask us for our own perspectives and views and opinions, and I had hoped it wouldn't negatively affect my grade).

11:22pm: Got home.

11:31pm: Phone rang.

1:12am: Got off the phone.

Now: Going to go to sleep for five hours. DAMN, do I hate Tuesdays and Wednesdays!

I have two papers due Friday. One, thankfully, is optional, and wouldn't have helped out my grade all that well, so screw it.

I'm working on my Social Deviance paper, which is going to show how hackers are part of their very own subculture, according to subculture theory.

I'm going through all these online databases that I've only heard stories about from more academic friends of mine. Holy crap, is there ever a lot of stuff available for students.

It's actually kind of nifty, although in my search for stuff on subculture theory, I've stumbled across an article on gay and lesbian language, and now I'm reading that.

This is the problem. When you give a curious person unlimited access to things like the Internet or online copies of academic journals, they will NEVER STOP LOOKING THINGS UP.

I'm convinced that my brain will eventually suck up all knowledge that there is to know. And then explode.

Hm.

I have like, four browsers open to various academic journals/etc, two textbooks open on my lap, two Word documents open and there's a straight man trying to get my attention in chat.

This calls for chocolate milk drunk out of a straw in a tall, tall glass, and two DayQuils to decongest me.
