brinshannaraOkay, first of all, I adore Juliet more with every single moment she's on my screen.
Of course she's still in cahoots with Ben et al. Of course! She's been there for like, three years. She is one of them, like it or not, and now that Ben has proven that he's not a liar, I expected that buddy-buddyness.
JJ Abrams, you have this way of constructing such complex, layered characters, and it's almost enough to make me want to bear your children. Thankfully, I understand you already have children, so I'm off the hook.
So, okay, clearly I'm not into this show as much as I used to be (I'd forgotten we knew about Sawyer's kid, etc, etc), so who can remind me who the hell is Jacob and why was Juliet SCARED or shocked to hear Ben talk about this dude? Clearly he's some guy in charge... but I don't remember much else.
Why, oh why did Locke blow up Mikhail's place? :P
I don't doubt Juliet's sincere desire to get the hell off the island, but that alone doesn't make her one of you, Jack.
So... Claire has an implant. Claire's implant was activated. Therefore, I would presume that Claire's implant isn't something that's trying to prevent her from getting ill, but rather is something that was implanted inside her with the express purpose of making her ill. And the vials of 4-8151623 42 that we saw in the first episode of season 2, when Desmond was injecting himself, this stuff counteracts the implant? Didn't Desmond think it would prevent him from getting sick, too? And why isn't he all freaked out about such things? Is it because he can see the future?
But wait. No cancer on the island? The healing properties of the island -- as seen with Rose and Locke most prominently -- have been messed with, because Ben had a tumor. And this predated Desmond not pushing the button. This predated the hatch going boom. So, how does all that work? What causes the island to prevent cancer or potentially illness, yet possibly prevents women from having babies?
Is Sun affected by this? Claire might have been treated so as to prevent her immune system from going haywire, but then why was her implant activated? Did Juliet eventually figure out a method to have children?
Why are these people on the goddamn island in the first place!?
I'm starting to get frustrated by the questions.
But Juliet talked her way nicely out of the situation with Sawyer and Sayid. I love that she used the name James, too. Good use of her knowledge!
