Computers.
Aug. 22nd, 2004 03:57 pmSo, for those of you who don't know, my grandmother was very generous to me last week. I could basically go out and buy any laptop I'd like.
And I did.
It was very reasonably priced. FutureShop dropped it $200 on sale this week, and with the purchase of any Toshiba notebook computer, one gets a free Epson colour inkjet printer. That's to say, you pay $91 now and then send in a mail-in rebate.
So, the specs!
P4 2.8Ghz
512MB RAM
40GB HD (my only issue, really)
Integrated Ethernet card, fax/modem and wireless card (802.11g)
64 MB ATI Radeon video card
It's WIDESCREEN, baby, and the cover of it is blue! Pretty, pretty blue!
I'm in love. I've had crushes on women who weren't as pretty as this new computer.
The best part? With tax, service plan, pre-payment for the printer, it totalled $2360. I had wanted to spend no more than $2600 or so.
And this is in Canadian dollars!
I'm very happy with my pretty new computer. Now I just have to think of a name for it, because my old laptop is named "blue", and this one clearly needs a different name.
Here are the specs. It's the PSA70C-RT100E.
I can't believe I actually have a new computer for the first time in over four years!
More, I can't believe I actually have a new computer and I'm WAY too tired to play with it very much. (I got about four hours of sleep.) And I have work to do! Augh! :)
