Woo.
My stomach rarely flips over something fictional. It usually has to be real and happening to me before my stomach just... flips, for lack of a better word. That somersaulting feeling.
Well, my stomach actually flipped with the shoe untied thing during tonight's The Office.
I blame
moireach for introducing me to this show. :P
(Not to say I didn't adore tonight's ep. But still. Tummyflips are supposed to be reserved for RL situations!)
Also. I <3 Jim.
That is all.

Just... classic Jim and Pam, though, which I loved even more.

But it's THIS show. Any other show, he would have proposed and she would have said no. I STILL think she might say no. Or maybe... maybe Pam will say yes, when he eventually asks, but out of panic instead of being assertive and doing what she wants to do.
WHO KNOWS? OMG I AM OVERTHINKING.
(I don't have any Office icons left, OMG.)
Don't know if you've seen this, but

I called mid-way through the ep to see if Aimee was watching, and she'd forgotten about it! She said that she'd try to steal the television from Bridget (who was watching The Little Mermaid). I filled her in on what had happened.
I called afterward, and she'd managed to see the rest of the ep. She was all squeeful 'cause she's a big Jim/Pam 'shipper. And an Office fan -- her MySpace is all The Office. And she can blame me for all that ;)

I totally forgot about The Office. Between my WarCraft raid and the NHL playoffs, it was 3am before I remembered about The Office. But when I did remember, I went and snagged it.
Hm. The Little Mermaid vs. The Office. That.... is a tough call. I don't know which I'd prefer...

b) Sort of both feelings at once. When my stomach flips like that, it's out of excitement and nervousness, but it's not a bad thing, exactly. Let's see if I can think of an example of a "tummyflip" moment that you can relate to...
You watched Alias, right? An example of a (good) tummyflip moment is like... when Sydney and Will kissed in her kitchen that night when they were so very drunk.
Or a TNG example, when the crew lost their memories and Ro shows up at Riker's quarters. It's sort of a jolt of surprise and excitement and nervousness all at once.

If she says no, I'll take him, fictional status be damned.

If you get him, I'll take her. Deal? :D

Ohgodohgod I can't wait until he does it for real. I'll wake the entire block.

You can totally comfort him and I'll have a meaningless fling with her and then they can get back together afterwards. ;)

There's been a lot of analysis over at the TWOP boards about Pam's facial expressions after the conversation at her desk, and then when he faked her out, whether she looked terrified or just happy-shocked or what. I'm not sure what to think, but I do know that if the writers screw with me and break them up after all that time they spent getting them together in the first place, I'm going to turn giant and green and go on a smashing rampage. It will not be pretty.
Have you read this? I'm definitely prepared to freak the frak out.
