Lost thoughts.
First, this site has some trivia bits on past episodes. What amuses me the most is that they make a point of saying a bunch of the writers have minors in sociology. Like the whole John Locke / new society stuff didn't tip me off... And it may partly explain my fascination with the show.
So this is supposed to be a Michael-centric episode. Finally, we get to learn the deal with him and Walt and the mother. Or so I hope.
And what's up with the polar bear coming at Walt in the preview?
On zap2it.com, Harold Perrineau (Michael) says:
"The thing I think is the best about it is the thing about Walt. There's something about Walt that nobody realized yet."
Maybe nobody on the island (with the possible exception of Locke), but all of fandom has realized that Walt is special. Things that he's thought about have happened. The polar bear in the comic book was encountered by the group later on, and Sawyer shot it. And didn't he make it rain at some point? Walt has some serious powers, and I think Locke has an idea about them. I don't think anyone else does, though. I don't even think Walt really knows what's going on.
Or, it could just be this Big Dark Secret, and that's why he and his mom moved around a lot.
Either way, I want to know more, NOW, and I have to wait until tomorrow night! Wah.
And there's new ALIAS tomorrow night! God, I love ABC.
