... the fuck?

Max Weber is weird.

"The loyalty of the French Canadians towards the English polity is today determined above all by the deep antipathy against the economic and social structure, and the way of life, of the neighouring United States; hence membership in the Dominion of Canada appears as a guarantee of their own traditions."

So not the case. Not even when he was alive. Not in 1922 (when I think this reading is from).

Although, I admit, it amuses me to see this theory. While I wouldn't say we're part of Canada because we dislike the US way of life, it seems like a lot of Canadian nationalism is based on being "not American".

I think I can start writing this damn paper, now. If I can start it tonight/this morning, I can finish it Sunday afternoon, work on that website Sunday evening, find an article to use for my other paper on Sunday night... write that paper partly on Monday, finish it on Tuesday. Study for Italian / write Italian composition on Tuesday/Wednesday.

Die on Friday.

Come back to life on Friday night and study for my midterm in Social Theory on Monday the 29th.

Die again. :)

Damn me, but this is going to be a hellish week...

When we the Blue States join you, we too shall be happy to not be American.

Remember: Manhattan = shiny! Also, lots of Starbucks! We have much to offer. Please consider us as part of your next annexation.
