Uuuuuuuuugh.
Draggin'.
My bus comes in 10 minutes and my hair is still damp from my shower last night.
Definitely taking a cab.
On the agenda today:
- go to Material Culture
- meet JB for lunch
- work downtown for 2 hours
- come home and possibly nap
I pulled an abdominal muscle last week during aikido, which hurt like a son of a bitch. It's a lot better now, but I'm still achey and twinging, so I didn't go Monday and I won't go tonight, but I should go next Monday.
Had the oddest dreams, which were combinations of World of WarCraft, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and this TVOntario educational kids show from the late 70s/early 80s called Read All About It! because I spent an inordinate amount of time watching episodes of Read All About It! on YouTube yesterday. It was my FAVOURITE educational show when I was a kid and was pretty much the highlight to any day I was home sick, because I could watch it from 2:15-2:30 or something like that. The acting is awful, the production value is cheap, the educational value is through the roof (and occasionally annoying), but the story is amazing. While watching the first 10 episodes yesterday, I remembered three things:
1) This show was my introduction to the haiku.
2) The show appealed to me for several reasons: technology, mysteries, writing and reading.
3) I had a horrible crush on the girl who played Lynne, who is actually a reporter for Reuters now.
The videos are kind of poor quality, but everyone should spend 14 minutes and watch the first episode, at least. :)
Shoot, now I'm actually running late, as the bus has gone by and my hair is still damp and I'm still in my PJs.
