they were worried about house being too derivative of m.i. and also worried that audiences wouldn't be sympathetic to such a curmudgeonly doctor. i can't speak to the former, since i haven't watched any of m.i. yet, but i've watched the first half dozen eps of house, and i absolutely love hugh laurie acting and his character.
actually, with tivo, i think we try to keep up with too much, i didn't mention gilmore girls or joan of arcadia, and we have most of this season's smallville on tap, but erbie's lost interest in it. she still watches the must see tv thursday (joey, w&g, er) and i watch some more of the procedural cbs shows (cold case and without a trace).
oh, i'm also d/ling eps of numb3rs. yes we watch way too much tv, and have way too many eps to save. i need to get a dvd burner, since at most you can only fit 2 eps to a cd burned, and i'm almost out of space.
