What I don't understand, in either of our countries, is that voter turnout among the youth is very low. When I turned 18, I wasn't excited because I could legally drink. I was excited because I could VOTE. But too many people who are in their 20s don't vote and don't care, and I just don't get why. I've always voted. I missed a key provincial vote in '98 because my absentee ballot wasn't received in time, but apart from that, I've voted in a referendum, in three federal elections, and a provincial election. I've worked for both the province and the country at elections. I love it all day long. I just don't get why the future of your country doesn't interest some people.
Okay, enough ranting. I have to go to my parents' to carve pumpkins.
