Italian is crazy!

Okay, so you know how the English do numbers, right?

One thousand, nine hundred and ninety-four.

Italians? ALL IN ONE WORD.

Millenovecentonovantaquattro.

Does it stop there? No.

12,402? English says twelve thousand, four hundred and two.

Italian says: dodicimilaquattrocentodue.

Does it stop THERE? Heck no!

339,417? English says three hundred, thirty-nine thousand, four hundred and seventeen.

Italian: Trecentotrentanovemilaquattrocentodiciasette.

Mercifully, at one million, they start going like:

un milione insert really long-ass rest of the number here.

I will never complain about French or English numbers ever, ever, ever again.

I will, however, probably complain a lot about Italian numbers in the next few weeks. :)
