Uh...
So I'm sitting here, thinking about going to bed, and then suddenly, there's this high-pitched NOISE that just comes tearing through my apartment.
I thought it was my smoke detector acting funny, at first, but no. It's coming from the fire escape.
What the smeg?
The actual fire alarm for the building isn't going off, so what on earth is that noise?!
I hear people walking around and talking and so I'm going to assume the building is not, in fact, on fire, and that someone's trying to fix the silly thing.
But it's irritating as all get out. As are other things. But this is the #1 annoying thing in my life right now, though not by much. Grump.
