Woke up at 4:15.

Am still awake.

Between my dad's snoring, the uncomfortable bunk bed and my nose deciding that this much dog hair isn't good for me, I haven't been able to go back to sleep.

It's disgustingly bright outside and it's only six in the morning. I don't think it's this light in the city at 6am.

It's snowing out there, and the lake is still frozen over and completely covered in snow. I might go take pictures later on.

Also, I'd forgotten how bad early Voyager was.

... between my brother and the girl at the drive-through at McDonald's, on the way back from the country.

(Or, How My Brother Blew His Cover as a Francophone)

Girl: "Quel sorte de sauce avec les McCroquettes?" (What kind of sauce with the McNuggets?)
My brother: "Euh... le barbecue et puis le moutard chaud, s'il-vous-plait." (Uh, the barbecue and the hot mustard, please.)
Girl: "On en a pas de moutard chaud..." (Sorry, we don't have any hot mustard.)
My brother: "Oh, okay, juste le barbecue, alors." (Oh, okay, just the barbecue, then.)
Girl: "On a du moutard fort, par exemple..." (We have strong mustard, though...)
My brother: "Ben, okay, alors, le moutard FORT, s'il-vous-plait." (Well, okay, then, the STRONG mustard, please.)

She was totally messing with him, and he wasn't impressed. He actually got pretty angry, the more he thought about it. "I'll 'strong mustard' her, all right!" and such phrases were heard in the car as we drove down the highway.

I, on the other hand, am still giggly about it, three plus hours later. :D
